Carol Goldstone, Managing Director
Dr. Carol Goldstone is the Managing Director of CGA and has worked
in social research for 20 years, first with NOP, where she worked in
the Social and Political Division, and more recently at MHGfK where
she was the Director of the Public and Social Unit. Her interests are
in social and government research and major clients include
government departments and other bodies in the public sector.
Over the past three years, Carol has worked closely with a large
range of clients. In Central Government, these include DWP, Inland
Revenue, DfES, DTI and the Home Office. For local government, she
has undertaken work for the London Boroughs of Ealing, Barking,
Brent and Tower Hamlets. She has also worked for a number of
other public sector clients including the Open University, the
Metropolitan Police, the Charity Commission, and the FSA.
Carol's major interests include the areas of employment, disability
and education and her work covers topics as diverse as evaluations
of government initiatives, customer satisfaction and usage and
attitude studies. Her early career was on the client side of marketing
and market research and this has provided her with a deep
understanding of her clients' requirements. Her academic
qualifications include a PhD from the University of Manchester,
Department of Liberal Studies in Science. She is a full member of
the Market Research Society and a member of the Social Research
Association
