or additional examples of our work.
Home Office
CGA are now in the second year of a four year contract to
recruit and run the State of the Sector Panel for the Home
Office. A panel of 5400 voluntary organisations and charities participate in a comprehensive programme of telephone
and postal surveys. The purpose of the Panel is to monitor
progress towards government targets and to learn more
about the way in which these bodies operate, with particular
reference to their funding. Response to the long and
complex
postal survey exceeded 80% following two
reminders and a facility to complete the study by telephone
if preferred.
Charity Commission
CGA has a long term contract with the Charity Commission
- recently extended to undertake all their research.
Specific commissions have included both customer and
staff satisfaction surveys and detailed examinations of
specific policies affecting charities. We have used a range
of methodologies for these studies including both qualitative
and quantitative research. CGA advises the Commission on
all aspects of each study including the research
methodology, sample size and structure, questionnaire
design and
undertakes all reporting and presentation of data.
London Borough of Barking and Dagenham
CGA runs a Citizens' Panel for the London Borough of
Barking and Dagenham, vital for the Borough to ascertain
residents' satisfaction with local services and their views on
local issues. The panel includes 1000 local residents,
recruited face to face to be representative of the adult
population. We use the panel both for quantitative research
and as a sample source for qualitative studies. We have
also completed several ad hoc studies of non-Panel
members for the Council.
